[Server] 3.1.8 released
We're thrilled to announce the latest update for Bluecherry, version 3.1.8, now available for a wide range of operating systems including Bookworm, Bullseye, Buster, Focal, Jammy, Mantic, and Noble. This update focuses on enhancing the stability and security of Bluecherry, ensuring a smoother experience for all users. Here's what's new:
- We've improved how timestamps are handled during the recording muxing process. This enhancement aims to provide more accurate and reliable timestamps, making your video recordings even more precise.
- A pesky crash that occurred due to the motion processor has been fixed. This means a more stable experience when using motion detection features within Bluecherry.
- Users on Linux Mint may have encountered an installer bug previously. We're happy to report that this issue has been resolved, making installation on Linux Mint seamless.
- In our continuous effort to support the latest operating systems, we now officially support Ubuntu 24.10. However, please note that we've dropped support for the end-of-life Ubuntu 23.10. This decision helps us focus on providing the best experience on supported versions.
- A miscellaneous fix has been applied to address minor issues, further improving the overall stability of Bluecherry.
- Lastly, we've patched an XSS vulnerability, reinforcing the security of Bluecherry against potential web-based attacks.
We're committed to providing a secure and robust platform for all our users. This update is a testament to our ongoing efforts to enhance Bluecherry's performance and security. We encourage everyone to update to the latest version to take advantage of these improvements. As always, we're eager to hear your feedback and thank you for your continued support.
